November Family Update

 

Happy Thanksgiving Family!!!   I pray you and your families are enjoying a peaceful, safe and wonderful day filled with good food, love and laughter.  In spite of all the challenges that we've faced so far in 2020, God is so faithful and we still have so much to be grateful for.  I am grateful for you family and pray we continue to strive to love and support each other better, stronger, and deeper as we walk through this journey together!

Please continue to take care of your health and take all precautions by wearing your masks, washing your hands and practicing social distancing.  

I am sure many of you have heard the sad and devastating news in the loss of our dear cousin Kenneth Cherry.  The Lord call him home last Saturday, November 21, 2020.  Please continue to keep cousins Rae, Eston, Mark, Shiree and all of the Cherry Family in your prayers during this difficult time.  We are also praying that God continues to restore the health and strength of Eston and Rae as they are recovering from this awful COVID-19 virus.  May peace, comfort and understanding reign in their lives at this time.  Arrangements are incomplete at this time.

Hey family! Thanks for a wonderful virtual family reunion! I was truly blessed and amazed the entire weekend by the way we were able to warmly embrace and connect with each other even though we were physically apart. God is truly awesome!!! It was great to meet and connect with family members that we may not have ever had a chance to meet and some that we may not have talked to in a while. We connected from coast to coast and even with our cousin James Eddie abroad!!! More than anything we honored and celebrated our ancestors that have gone before us and those still here with us now, that showed us the importance of family and how to love and care for each other!!! Thanks again to all of the family that pulled together to make this reunion come to life, but also everyone for being open to trying something that we had never done before. Special thanks to Shiree and Megan, Cherita, Em'Ria and Don, Jalen and Dominique, Tinkie, Anthony and the band, and Catrina Reese for holding us down with fun, engaging and uplifting events all weekend long! Cousin Girl Baby aka Lesley Thomas may have stolen the show with the Catawba or Bust skit though! LOL! COVID-19 could not keep us apart and for that we say glory to God!!!

Hey Family!

Just wanted to give you an update that it we may be an even tighter window with getting your Reunion 2020 T-Shirts by reunion weekend because of Covid-19.  When ordering my shirts today there was an alert that because of Covid-19 the shipping period may take 14 days instead of 7 to 10 days.  I do apologize but we are trying to pull everything together in a short period in an environment that changes overnight.  I just wanted to give the family a heads up and be as informative as possible.
