Let's Walk for the Cure of Juvenile Diabetes this coming Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Carowinds

Dear Roddey,
Each year, JDRF One Walk™ brings together thousands of people to change the futures of everyone living with type 1 diabetes (T1D). Many have T1D themselves, and many more are friends, family, or coworkers of someone challenged by this disease. No matter what their connection is, they fundraise and walk because they believe in a world where T1D no longer exists.
Please join us on my team Austin's Troops to participate in the JDRF One Walk on April 16, 2016. Together, we can change the future for everyone affected by T1D.  Even if you can't join us at the walk you can still help by sending a donation to represent Austin's team.
Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease in which a person’s pancreas loses the ability to produce insulin–a hormone essential to turning food into energy. It strikes both children and adults and is unrelated to diet and lifestyle.  Did you know that over one million Americans have (type 1) diabetes.  Every hour someone is diagnosed with T1D.   There are no days off, and there is no cure–yet.
JDRF is the only global organization with the plan, influence, and ability to progressively remove T1D from people’s lives. Through our fundraising efforts, we have the power to turn Type One into Type None.
